Motor Vehicle Accidents

To get started, book an MVA appointment then you will receive our intake forms with your name and birthdate, auto insurance company, claim number, name and phone number of claim adjuster, and date of accident/injury. If there are no appointments available in the next few weeks please fill out our contact form indicating you have been in a motor vehicle accident and we will find you an appointment as soon as possible.

We also ask that you get a medical referral or prescription for massage therapy. A referral can be written by a physician (MD), physical therapist (PT), occupational therapist (OT), nurse practitioner (NP, CRNP, ARNP), physician assistant (PA), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), naturopath (ND), chiropractor (DC), or acupuncturist (LAc).
They can use our form or provide their own letter. A referral must contain diagnosis codes, recommended number of visits and visit length.

Oregon auto insurance policies will cover massage therapy after a motor vehicle accident for drivers and passengers regardless of fault, or if you were a cyclist or pedestrian not at fault.

Thanks to Oregon personal injury protection (PIP) law, you have a minimum of $15,000 insurance funds for medical treatment for two years after the date of the car accident.

Oregon requires drivers to have auto insurance, and Oregon auto insurance plans are required to carry a minimum $15,000 PIP to cover medical treatment including massage therapy.

PIP is per-person. For example, if you were driving with a passenger, you get a $15,000 minimum claim, and your passenger gets a separate $15,000 minimum claim.

  • If you were driving your own car, your auto insurance will pay PIP.

  • If you were a passenger, the auto insurance of the owner of the car in which you were riding will pay PIP; after that money runs out, you can start a claim on your own auto insurance and get additional benefits.

  • If you were a pedestrian or cyclist, the at-fault driver's auto insurance company will pay PIP.

  • If you were injured by an uninsured driver, you can make a claim under your own auto insurance.

  • If you were a pedestrian or cyclist who is found to be at fault for the car accident, you will likely not get PIP benefits.

With PIP there is no cost to you. We bill auto insurance directly. No copay, deductible, or fee.

Using PIP benefits will not affect your auto insurance premium.

Unlike private health insurance, auto insurance doesn't have networks, so you can see any licensed provider of your choosing without worrying if they are in-network or out-of-network.
